Exmergo, Inc. ("we," "us," or "our") — a Delaware-incorporated company — operates Exmergo Viz at https://viz.exmergo.com. This policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your data.

## 1. Information We Collect

**Account Information:** When you sign up via Google or Microsoft, we receive your name, email, and profile picture.

**Uploaded Data:** We collect the data files (CSV, XLSX, JSON, Parquet) you upload for analysis and visualization.

**User Prompts:** We collect the text-based questions you enter into the chat interface.

**Payment Information:** Handled by Stripe, Inc. We do not store your full payment card details.

**Usage & Analytics Data:** Collected via Google Analytics — device/browser type, geographic location, pages visited, session duration.

## 2. How We Use Your Information

- To provide, maintain, and improve the Service
- To improve our AI models (free plan only — paid plans are excluded from training data)
- For security, debugging, and abuse prevention
- To communicate with you about your account

**Paid plans (Pro, Ultra, Enterprise): your data, prompts, and schema are never used to train AI models.**

## 3. How We Handle Your Data

**Uploaded files:** Converted to Apache Parquet and stored privately on Google Cloud Platform, in paths unique to your user ID and session ID.

**AI interactions:** We do NOT send your raw data to third-party AI providers. The AI (Google Gemini) receives only: your prompt, conversation history, the data schema, a random sample of rows, and aggregated query results.

**Published dashboards:** A read-only public snapshot of query results only. Your original uploaded data is never made public.

## 4. Third Parties

We share data only with necessary sub-processors:
- **Google Cloud Platform** — hosting and data storage
- **Google (Gemini)** — AI processing (schema, samples, and aggregated results only)
- **Google Analytics** — usage analytics
- **Stripe, Inc.** — payment processing
- **Google / Microsoft** — authentication providers

We do not sell your personal data.

## 5. Data Security & Retention

Industry-standard encryption in transit (HTTPS) and at rest. Data is logically segregated per user. We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete uploaded files at any time from within Exmergo Viz.

## 6. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to: access, rectify, erase, port, or restrict processing of your personal data. Contact support@exmergo.com to exercise these rights.

## 7. International Data Transfers

- **Non-Enterprise plans:** Data is processed and stored in the United States.
- **Enterprise plans:** Option to select a specific geographic location (e.g., within the EU) for data storage and processing.

## 8. Children's Privacy

Our Service is not directed to individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

## 9. Cookies

We use first-party cookies through Google Analytics to track browser sessions. You can manage cookies through your browser settings or opt out via the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
